More meteors
It turns out that this year I also bagged a couple of Orionid meteors, in addition to the Perseids. I happened to be in darkest New Hampshire - actually not darkest NH, which I would guess is in the northwest part of the state, but it was dark enough to see a couple of flashes. One might actually not have been an Orionid, as its track was not at all radiant from Orion. But hey, for some of us city boys, a meteor is a meteor.
The Orionids are leftovers from Halley's Comet, which is very cool.
