A non-rolling stone, on the other hand

One of the benefits of the very wet summer we've been having (35 inches of precipitation so far this year, versus a normal 27) is that some of my walkway stones are starting to get a nice bit of green moss.

Gives a nice ancient look, I think, to these stones that have been in place all of three years or so. (I forget when this long running project actually started, but it's probably at least three.) But the moss has appeared perfectly naturally. This is good, because artificially propagating moss - if that can even be done - is a line I don't think I would have crossed.
But I guess we'll never know...
